Panels, moderation, event hosting
Tara has hosted a variety of talks and events, on a range of topics: a Q&A with author Wendy Erskine about her debut novel, a Guardian Live event with Arlo Parks, a conversation with Big Narstie and CJ Wallace about the cannabis industry,. She moderated panels on tech and the music industry at the 2021 Web Summit in Lisbon, as well as hosting conversations about access to the creative industries at Dialled Industry in 2025 and 2026. She also hosted the keynote at the 2021 AIM Connected conference.
She headed up various gal-dem events such as talks on DIY artistry, Brown British womanhood in cinema and an Instagram Live partnership with Boiler Room. Through gal-dem, she also hosted journalism workshops in Sheffield and London.
Tara has appeared on various panels about the creative industries, including at Beaches Brew festival in Italy, as well as for SoundCloud, DICE.fm, Livity and more.
